This is a very, very popular style baby blanket that has a soft cotton muslin on one side and a very soft and cuddly velvety polyester dotted fleece on the opposite side, aka “minky.” The dotted fleece in this has a shorter pile than some of the others. One thing that stands out to me about this blanket is that the cotton muslin is both especially soft and a tighter weave than some of the cheap cotton muslin used in baby products. Arguably the quality is a little bit better. At 30 x 40 inches this is a fairly average size baby blanket which is very functional for wrapping and cuddling a newborn, as a car seat blanket or to lay down on the floor for the baby’s tummy time and play.This blanket is not as a good a price as some others of the same type, but it does come in lots of sweet color and pattern choices and it is sure nice to be able to choose the one you love in the colors that will coordinate with the nursery. I chose the strawberries for a sweet baby girl and am satisfied with it. I also think that the quality of this does exceed some of the other options. This is a fine choice.This is sincerely a fine choice as a baby gift. It isn’t easily wrappable but would go into a small gift bag extremely easily. For reference if you’re trying to choose a gift bag at the same time you’re ordering this, the rolled up blanket is 7 1/4″ long and 4 1/4 inch in diameter.
