Great dupe of the Hatch! Update…
Update: I received the Hatch Gen 2 as a gift, I can now say with certainty, that I do indeed prefer the hatch, however there are pros and cons to both. The momcozy will work in a power outage if fully charged beforehand, the hatch will shut off entirely without power/being plugged in so it’s also less portable. I still have not downloaded the mom cozy app for the sound machine because I simply don’t want or need to, especially when all the tactical buttons on the machine make it effortless to use. The hatch NEEDS the app! I like the sound quality and dimmable light features better on the hatch than the mom cozy. And that’s about it.BOTTOM LINE: mom cozy is better price and better if you don’t want to rely on Bluetooth and WiFi and have an extra app. Hatch is better sound, light control, app experience, and eventually will be a sleep trainer “ok to rise” scheduling for a young child. I would have been just fine without receiving the hatch as a gift and continued to use the mom cozy sound machine!Original post:I debated buying this or the Hatch sound machine that looked almost exactly like it. I’m SO GLAD I bought this! I had it on my baby registry, was able to use my completion discount, and it was on sale, so I got it for less than half the price of the hatch! To be clear, I never bought the hatch, so I have no idea how good it really is. BUT. The light choices are great, not too bright or dark, perfect for just the right amount of light for night time feedings. It might not be bright enough for night time diaper changes, but if there’s another night light in the room, you might be fine. The 34 sound choices are great with adjustable volume. I love the tactical buttons on the machine, which means I DON’T need to download yet another app to my phone to control this. I can see why having the app is nice, but for right now, this machine is all we need. The charging device does have a backup battery so if power is out, or you have to take it to another room, you don’t have to worry about bringing the whole cord along too.If you’re looking for a sleep trainer, I would go for the hatch because of the programming and the app features…but if you just need a sound machine and a nightlight that is simple and is easy to use, and half the price of the hatch, get this! I’m glad I did!

Calming effect, Noise level, durability
This sound machine has been a lifesaver for my baby’s sleep. The variety of soothing sounds and the night light are perfect, and I love that I can control everything from the app. Very easy to use and helps create a calm bedtime routine. Highly recommend!

Nice sound machine
We love this sound machine! I haven’t downloaded the app, but it’s still easy to use. You can adjust the warm light which is nice but the colored lights are at one setting and are a little bright. We keep music going all night so it either has to stay plugged in or charge it up after the last nap of the day, but we just keep it plugged in for good measure. Having the light on drains the battery faster, and overall we like the product. It’s smaller than anticipated, but nice that it’s compact in size and fits nicely on baby’s dresser.

Beware of the instant zombie mode
my toddlers sound machine needed an upgrade so I purchased this recently. Let me start by saying I have awful insomnia like can’t function without sleeping pills bad, fighting prescription meds, weekly b12 shots BAD. So nighttime sleep for me isn’t a thing, but naps? Never have I ever taken one. This sound machine is awful. It’s like sleeping gas filling a room, I have to keep forcing myself to get out as soon as I turn it on. It’s so hard to fight it, then just moments after tucking my toddler in for naps I’m passed out getting poked in the eye and I physically can’t get up. The first night we set it up our toddler slept until 10 am.We will be ordering a second for me.

Essential for your newborn
This thing is awesome my baby doesn’t sleep without it. I would say it’s a bit tricky to set up to the WiFi network so I just use the buttons which kind of defeats the purpose. But it does soothe my baby to sleep and the light and sound level is completely adjustable. Fits perfectly on my nightstand. I would say this is an essential. It does have lots of different sounds like a thunderstorm, room full of chatter, plain white noise and so many others. It has Different light settings as well they can even be dimmed as I just found out recently. I have nothing to really compare it to as I haven’t tried the competition but I will say this definitely works for my family.

I decided to buy this machine as I needed a lamp and a white noise machine. And I’m so glad i found it. The 2 white noise machines that I have always turns off its own and it’s not easy to move and stretch to turn it back on while carrying/feeding a light sleeper baby. It has many sound options though I frequently use the lullaby option and turn on the white orangey light. I love how I can control the intensity of the light as well, to the dimmest when my 7mo is asleep. And I would lower down the volume before turning it off eventually too. Sometimes when my son is awake, I would play the good morning sound and on the colourful lights just for fun. There’s also a timer option for when I want the machine to switch off but I’ve not use it yet. I wish I have gotten this machine sooner. The only thing that I wish for is for my husband to be able to pair the machine to his phone without the app logging me out automatically. It seems that only 1 person can pair it to their phone. But it’s okay, when my phone is out of reach, I can physically press the on button and it will auto on to the previous setting. If you’re thinking of a smart white noise machine that doubles up as a lamp, this is it!
