Great for adult healing
This stuff works great for scarring after skin biopsies. It has the Allantoin 1% plus zinc and petrolatum lubrication. Mederma’s crazy expensive $40 small tube only has Allantoin .5% as its active ingredient. I use the diaper ointment with a bandaid and it seems to help healing and scarring. I can get past the smell for the savings. My plastic surgeon recommended zinc so the other ingredients are just a bonus for the price!

I like the ease of application this product provides. I use it for skin rashes, facial breakout, sunscreen, and to moisten detergent hands. The ingredients revive stressed skin.

Thoughts.Nothing makes a parent feel worse than seeing a little one suffering from a diaper rash. Using this and being proactive helps prevent/reduce diaper rash episodes. We have multiple children in diapers. Our little ones, however, are fruitaholics. They ask for and cannot get enough strawberries and blueberries, especially now – summer 2024, when those fruits are in full swing. Regrettably, berries are highly acidic, and create a higher incidence of diaper rashes. Whatever culprit may cause the diaper rash, a good defense barrier is a diaper rash ointment, like De La Cruz’, which is high in zinc, can be the best defense.How did this item arrive?It arrived totally sealed in a clear plastic film. Which I appreciate.How big is the tube?The tube measures 5¼” x 2½” (at its widest point, it’s like a wide tube of toothpaste).What is the net weight of the tube’s contents?It’s three (3.4) ounces or (96) grams.Would this make a good gift then?It would be a nice baby shower gift, so yes.What’s the ointment like?It’s a solid white in color. It looks like a cream but applies like an ointment.How does it feel?The ointment is very silky smooth and has a consistent texture.How does it go on?It covers nicely, has a light texture, a bit of a greasy feel, and it spreads quickly and easily. It’s almost like liquid pain in application. So, a little really goes a long way to cover the area.Does this have zinc oxide?I see zinc oxide as a 40% ingredient.Then what are some of its important ingredients?(45%) petrolatum is an even bigger ingredient. Petroleum jelly – think Vaseline – is another name for petrolatum. Petroleum jelly was what our grandparents used on our parents. A tried-and-true ingredient.Is there any aroma?Yes, very light but chemically lavender fragrance. I do not find it offensive.Are there any “active ingredients?” Yes.What?Allantoin (1%); Petrolatum (45%) and Zinc Oxide (40%).Does this work on a diaper rash?Our story. We have multiple little ones in diapers. One (1) has extremely sensitive skin and the other mild sensitive. All the babies love fresh strawberries and blueberries, which are acidic. No matter how soon after we realize there is an aroma, that ain’t the aroma of berries wafting through the air, and there is a three (3) alarm diaper rash. So, we have been experimenting with different diaper rash products, such as this. It’s effective, with no visible consequences. It’s worth a try to go into your tray of tubes of this and that.Price.This is at a competitive price for our pocketbook. I find this to have it worth to calm that red rash that causes suffering.Would I select this again?Yes.I hope my thoughts added information.

Safe and effective
Absolutely love this diaper cream. Clean ingredients, safe for my baby. The only issue is that there is always a lot of cream left in the bottle and I have to cut it to use because it doesn’t come out when I squeeze it. Otherwise 5 stars
