Mom Tested, Baby Approved – The Smartest, Most Compact Support Pillow
Honestly, I’ve tried my share of nursing pillows, and I truly thought I already had the best one until this gem from Dr. Brown’s showed up. This isn’t just another pillow. It’s a huge step up for me and my little one on our breastfeeding journey. They call it an ergonomic breastfeeding support pillow, and they aren’t kidding. It’s built with premium memory foam that just perfectly cradles us both, meaning I don’t have to hunch over and strain my neck and back to get a good latch. That alone makes it a Lifesaver! It doesn’t just function as a nursing pillow. Its ergonomic design makes it work better than any other one I’ve tried. What really seals the deal is the design. It’s got this great firm yet responsive feel, which gives such stable, secure support while still being incredibly comfy. The shape is the smartest I’ve seen. It’s flat, which is a big deal because it stops my baby from constantly rolling inward toward my stomach, which is a problem I had with other pillows. The thickness is also just right, especially since I gained a bit of weight during pregnancy. The clever shape keeps my stomach out of the way, making feeding much easier. It’s truly a smart design that fits around all different body types, and I love that it’s reversible with no awkward straps or extra parts. And for all that support, it’s also the most compact nursing pillow I’ve seen, which is great for storage and moving around the house! The comfort is top-notch. It’s soft but manages to be sturdy at the same time. The brushed fabric pillow cover is so gentle and soft on sensitive skin. Plus, it doesn’t cause my lap or the baby to overheat, which is huge! I also really appreciate how easily the cover can be removed for washing. My little one practically falls asleep every time we nurse, and honestly, if I used it as a pillow myself, I could probably snooze on it too. It’s that cozy. This pillow truly is like no other I’ve encountered. You can tell they put a real effort into this product. Considering the materials, the clever design, and the immense comfort and support it provides, it absolutely deserves 5 stars!

Heavy pillow, perfect for the car!
Man this thing is heavy!!! But it is that weight that makes the design of this pillow work. I was initially a little concerned that with no back strap the pillow would be constantly sliding away from me or that my baby would wiggle it away and fall between. Not the case at all. You really won’t believe how heavy this thing is until it arrives but trust there will be no sliding issues. The pillow is still soft and comfy for baby though. The cover is also nice and soft and is easy enough to remove for cleaning. Because this didn’t have the back strap and looked a bit smaller than my other feeding pillow I ordered it to keep in my trunk supplies for when we are away from home. No more stealing bed pillows to feed the baby when we’re at grandma’s house! But it’s also good sized to use in the car when needed also. I fed my baby in the car with this over the weekend and we were perfectly comfortable. I honestly didn’t expect to like it so much but I might like it better than my everyday home pillow! I won’t switch them because this one is more portable but if I had to recommend a pillow to someone that didn’t have one, I’d say get this one and just get two if you want a travel pillow like I did. Well worth the money.

Nursing pillow
This is a unique breastfeeding pillow! In the past I’ve used both the Boppy and the My Brest Friend nursing pillows. I personally prefer the My Brest Friend for newborns since you can clip it in place to raise it higher when they are still so tiny. I prefer the Boppy for older babies when they don’t need as much support since it’s easier to quickly set up. This Dr. Brown’s pillow is almost like a hybrid with some unique features. It’s nice and flat (like the My Brest Friend) so baby doesn’t roll off as can sometimes happen with the Boppy. It’s easy to set up like the Boppy. It’s much heavier than either of the other two nursing pillows due to the memory foam – which makes it comfy although harder for transporting. It’s pretty firm so it offers great support. I find it’s too low in my lap for a newborn baby, but this may also be dependent on your position/anatomy. The removable and machine washable cover is a must-have for spit ups and other baby messes. However, the cover I received had some small strings hanging off at the seams. This detracted a bit from the overall quality and I’m questioning how well it will hold up in the wash if it’s already having strings come loose.

Alternate Support Pillow
This Dr. Brown Feeding and Nursing Pillow is unique compared to those already on the market. First off, it’s MUCH heavier than the Boppy. However, it is memory foam and holds its shape very well, so unless you are carrying this around the house, the weight shouldn’t matter too much. This pillow doesn’t hug my waist like other pillows but I think that it’s an advantage because I’m able to use it on smaller fitting chairs and still be comfortable. And honestly, when I’m not using this as a breastfeeding pillow, I am using this to prop my legs up on the couch and I’m also using it as a lap desk to get work done.
