Great machine
I really like this particular sound machine, mostly because the light feature has been essential for the middle of the night newborn care. And I really like the sound quality of the brown noise specifically. You can tell there is a loop in the track but it’s not too bad (this coming from a very particular and light sleeper). Also, we tend to lose power often at certain times of the year and this one turns back on when the power comes back, unlike most sound machines where you have to physically turn them back on yourself. 10/10 for that feature alone! I will note that it defaults back to the wave sound instead of the one you had it on, but it’s better than nothing. I honestly wish I had bought this one years ago instead of going through 3-4 different styles of machines.

Disappointing – unnatural sound and too quiet
I really wanted to like this sound machine, but the audio quality is not what I expected. The sounds don’t resemble natural “fan” or “rain forest” noises at all. Instead, they come across as mechanical, inconsistent, and almost like static electricity—but not even steady or soothing. Additionally, the volume isn’t loud enough to mask other noises, making it even less effective. Instead of calming background noise, the machine draws attention because it sounds artificial and weak. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I finally used it at a hotel; unfortunately, by then, the short return window had already closed. I bought it in July and tried to return it in September, but it was too late—very disappointing purchase.

Good sound machine
I ordered this sound machine for our twins room in Feb 2025 and we love it. The little night light gives just enough light that I’m able to see just enough to take care of the kids in the middle of the night without harsh interferences. However, I have noticed that when we lose power the sound reverts back to wave instead of the one we had it set on (we like the rain setting). The change in sound automatically wakes the twins up. If this wasn’t an issue I would give it 5 stars as it is perfect otherwise. If the sound machine is updated I feel this issue should be fixed.

Either a dud or new ones are not great
I’ve used these sound machines for both my kids for many years. I saw they had a new model with cool nightlight features and different sounds, so I bought one. However, the one we got had a crackling noise while playing the sound and it was super annoying. We went back to our old one and returned this one. I really liked the nightlight feature, bummer.

All noises sound the same. Just sounds like white noise. I do not recommend.
