Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle Slow Flow Nipple lets infants control the flow of milk like with breastfeeding, which can reduce spit-up and overeating. Philips Avent’s anti-colic valve flexes to keep air in the bottle and out of your baby’s tummy, a feature that reduces fussing and colic. In a clinical trial, two-week-old infants fed with a Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle experienced less colic than babies fed with a conventional bottle, with the greatest difference seen at night. Appropriate for babies at least 1 month old, these nipples offer a slow flow. The nipple is made of flavorless, odorless silicone that resists discoloring and stickiness. The nipple’s soft, rounded shape promotes feeding for babies who nurse from both the breast and a bottle. The Anti-colic baby bottle BPA Free nipples are dishwasher safe and can be sterilized by boiling for five minutes or by using a Philips Avent steam sterilizer. We recommend to use the Anti-colic baby bottle nipples with the Anti-colic baby bottle.
The anti-colic bottle is compatible with the Natural nipple when used together with the Natural screw ring. The Natural nipple can be bought separately; the Natural screw ring comes with the Natural bottles.

A True Lifesaver for Fussy Feedings!
I started using the Philips Avent Anti-Colic Baby Bottle with the Slow Flow Nipple when my little one was about two months old. Before this, feedings were a struggle; she would become gassy and irritable, and the constant worry over her comfort was wearing me down. The first thing I noticed with this bottle was the unique design of the nipple. It’s shaped perfectly to allow a secure latch, mimicking the feel of breastfeeding, which was important for us as we’re supplementing. The slow flow was just right for my baby, providing a more natural feeding rhythm without overwhelming her or causing her to gulp too much air.The anti-colic valve integrated at the bottom of the bottle is ingenious – it seemed to significantly reduce the amount of air she swallowed during feedings. We saw a noticeable difference in how much calmer and happier she was post-feed. The lessened air intake appeared to ease her discomfort, leading to fewer episodes of colic symptoms. As a parent, the ease of cleaning these bottles is something I can’t praise enough. They easily come apart and are simple to clean and sterilize, giving me one less thing to worry about.I’m truly grateful for the Philips Avent Anti-Colic Bottle with Slow Flow Nipple. It’s not just a bottle; it’s peace of mind, knowing that feeding times are now moments of bonding instead of stress. I couldn’t be happier with the comfort it’s brought to both my baby and me!

Our baby prefers these.
Your mileage will absolutely vary, but our daughter prefers the Avent nipples and system overall. At the end of the day you pretty much go with what your baby wants, not what you want them to want lol so don’t take it personal if you’re all set and ready and they abjectly abhor your well laid plans.

Work for Philips anti colic bottles.
While you can use the standard Avent lid on the anti colic bottles, you cannot flip them the other way around. We ended up not using the anti colic, but the natural bottles and nipples instead.

The best!
I love that they have a slightly fast slow flow. Perfect for my baby who was falling asleep on level one!

Good product
If you bottle feed, Avent bottles help avoid gas (not all but it helps), they are easy to clean and use, especially bottle style with hard plastic ring that fits on top of bottle (as opposed to model with an insert that goes down about half the bottle’s depth). The system was recommended to us by a NICU nurse when we picked up our first foster baby from the hospital and has proven it’s worth. We buy and sterilize new nipples for each baby. The nipples work fine.

Size 2 flows faster than expected, otherwise wonderful nipple for the best bottle ever!
I bought the anti colic avent bottles and it came with size 3. I bought these size 2’s for my then 3 month old and they were still quite fast for him. He got used to them, but we are still using the size 2 for my now 5 month old. I don’t think he’ll be ready for the 3 for quite a while. These are probably too fast for a 1 or 2 month old. ☺

Great Nipples Just Tricky For My Little One
These are great for the quality and price, but even though they are slow flow, my little one still drinks too fast/gets too much from them. I don’t see it as an issue with the nipples though, she’s just got a very strong suction.

Great bottle!
It’s the nipple to the best bottle out there! Dr. Browns has been a favorite of ours, but this new colic bottle has been a game changer!
