    Tons of features!
Expecting our second baby and we have a similar product for our first that isn’t made anymore, so decided to try this one.Overall, a great product for the price and frankly best thing we could find (we wanted music and projection). Lots of sounds, more than we need I’m sure. I hate that it’s not battery powered, as we lose power out in our holler too frequently for 2022, but part of the reason we picked this is because they make a smaller battery powered version that does less, so we can have something similar as backup. I only wish they make a value pack with both or something. The projected stars are fine. Not as good as the first thing we had (this has only stars, no planets or anything, and solid white only), but I LOVE that the angle is adjustable.I LOVE the timer and continuous options. Our 3yo’s slightly different thing only has one time option and we find ourselves resetting it sometimes multiple times if she doesn’t quite fall asleep in the allotted time. That was probably honestly the biggest selling point of this one for us.Also love that the nightlight part will stay on even when the music is done. That’s a big bonus. The sound quality (especially of the classical music) leaves a lot to be desired – it sounds very tinny and sad like a bad music box. It’s actually pretty pathetic. But, I don’t think the newborn will care and again, so many great features that it’s still well worth it.

    Great product
We use it every night. I love that it helps light the room a little to see nighttime diaper changes. We’ve used it nightly for 8 months and had no issues.

    Bedtime Lifesaver!
A must have for our bedtime routine! My sister bought this for my first daughter. We use it as a nightlight and play music to help her fall asleep. She loves the stars that it projects on the ceiling, too! I like that you can set the time it runs and that it turns off on its own. There are many songs and sounds, but we use the same very night. We’ve now had our second, and bought another one because it’s so valuable! Our second child likes music even more than our first. She can be more stubborn and resistant to bedtime, but music helps to calm her down. We bought the owl to play music but don’t use the nightlight feature for her, because she prefers the dark. I also like that you can turn on and off the different parts based on what your child prefers.Needless to say, we pack our owl every time we travel!

Money well spent! Perfect multi-use item!
I searched everywhere for the perfect nightlight/soother combination, and I kept coming back to this one! I’m glad I did. I think it’s a good value for what you get…and I believe it’s good quality too. It puts out just enough light and I LOVE the moon and stars projecting scene (that you can adjust) for your baby to enjoy when it’s dark. It’s like a mini planetarium in their nursery! As my daughter grows, I know she’s going to love that! The variety of sounds are also soothing and relaxing even to an adult. To top it all off, it’s a super cute item, and I loved that it matched our forest animal nursery theme. I can’t find many items in this category that I would even find competitive. Most I see don’t offer this much all in one. If you want a nightlight and a soother and a projecting moon and star scene…look no further!

Not as nice as the mobile one
Not as nice as the mobile one… I bought the $13 portable skip hop owl that attaches to a stroller or such and I absolutely love it. The only problem is that due to the nature of the battery life, there is only a 60-minute option. Enter the big, power-corded owl! This is a great set up in theory, but the speakers or the recording or something must be different because the calm ocean sound on this massive owl is quite frankly annoying in comparison to the mobile owl. And that sound/setting was the only reason why I purchased it. The quietest setting is super loud and I basically wrap swaddles around the entire thing to try to attempt to smother or lower the sound level. Otherwise, it’s super cute and has other lighting and projector options that may come in handy later as a distraction, but right now it’s just a waste of space and a disappointment. Also, beware that a friend’s owl went straight up exorcist on them – halfway thru the lullaby setting it starts summoning Satan. All of this aside, mine still works fine despite my annoyance with the sound quality or decibel level. Therefore, I will give it more stars than it’s probably worth simply because it’s cute and others may like the different sound options, and it may work great for them.Random 2020 Update:My first owl’s electrical cord/plug hosed the owl up somehow, so it stopped turning on. My friend told me to contact Skip Hop for a replacement, and let me tell you, they really pulled through. Adding another star for their customer service. And now that my kids are older, they don’t care that it’s a bit loud, they love love love the moon and stars and “snow.” I will still stand by my title: “Not as nice as the mobile one” simply because we adore the stroller/mobile one, but it has definitely been worth it, as we are still rocking this six years later!!!

Very Cute! Nice nightlight, projection dim
This is a very nice addition to our nursery. The nightlight belly is soft and dimmable, the songs and white noise are perfect levels and clear. The projection is a little bit dim, but that’s probably warranted! The timer function also works.

    Highly Recommend
This is a lifesaver! I love that it has noise and music settings for whatever makes your little one comfortable. The full size machine here has timer settings, including 24 hour which is perfect so you don’t need to go restart it at night. The nightlight is an added bonus. It is light weight, easy to transport, and is a great investment without needing an app or subscription.

    Only sound machine you’ll need
Great sound machine, have been using it every night for 5years since I had my baby. Drowns out all the background noise of the house. It’s lasted us this long with no issues.
